Rosh Hashanah 2022 – The Jewish New Year

Rosh Hashanah celebration. Jewish New Year Holiday.

Rosh Hashanah - Jewish New Year is just around the corner!

Rosh Hashanah (Hebrew: ראש השנה), (literally “head of the year”), is the Jewish New Year.

One of the most sacred days in Judaism is Rosh Hashanah. Usually the name Rosh Hashanah is translated as the Jewish New Year, but in fact this phrase means "Head of the Year." The holiday lasts two days. This year is celebrated from the evening of September 25th and ends on the evening of the 27th. Rosh Hashanah is different from the usual New Year's holiday, which most people celebrate on January 1st.

According to tradition, work during the celebration is strictly prohibited. Rosh Hashanah is not only a fun holiday. A necessary part is the reading of special prayers and moral rethinking of life, because on this day, the Creator judges our world and determines the fate of each person for the coming year. However, this holiday is still filled with fun, joy and dreams. And what could be better than a combination of serious plans, fun and desserts? On holidays, friends and family get together, exchange gifts and share traditional treats that have a special meaning and are strongly associated with Rosh Hashanah: honey, apples, pomegranates, and Challah - a special festive pastry. An apple in honey symbolizes the sweet life in the New Year and is an essential attribute of the holiday, like other fruits and desserts.

The obligatory components of this holiday are delicious food, riddles, puzzles, reflections on what happened this year, about achievements and about the future. We hope you can start the New Year for yourself and make a wonderful tasty gift to all your relatives, loved ones and friends with the help of our beautiful bouquets.

"May it by Thy will, O Lord, Our God, to grant us a year that is good and sweet." - so on this day everyone congratulates each other. A sweet bouquet or basket will confirm you'r sincere congratulations.

There is a tradition of eating sweet. Incredibly juicy and delicious strawberries in chocolate symbolically reflect your desires for a happy new year. Choosing such a gift, you give a whole bouquet of desires! After all, eating every berry you can make a wish. The color of a ripe berry symbolizes the flow of vitality and attracts monetary luck. Strawberries carry activity and passion, add determination to thoughts and actions, give energy! Delicate taste of chocolate adds love and romantic mood.

Our gifts will be pleasant to any person. If you want to please one of your Jewish relatives or friends, then our advice on choosing a gift can come in handy. Even if you are not a Jew, you can safely celebrate Rosh Hashanah "for the company" - after all, the Jewish New Year is a holiday of the creation of the world! Therefore, Rosh Hashanah may well be a general rather than a religious holiday. For a fruitful and sweet year, put challah, dates and apples with honey on the table. And don't forget about our bouquet! Give the famous Jewish New Year's treat: strawberries under a layer of chocolate. Wherever your relatives and friends are, no matter what gift - traditional, unusual or equally both this and that - you decide to congratulate them, do not forget to wish them, on a postcard or verbally, " SHANA TOVA U'METUKA". This is a wish for a good year - and a sweet one!
