Ingredients

Fresh Strawberries (1 lb )

Chocolate (Callebaut, Ghirardelli, Baker’s) (1 lb )


Instructions

  • Wash and Dry the Strawberries: Thoroughly wash the strawberries and dry them completely. Ensure they are very dry, as any moisture will prevent the chocolate from sticking.
  • Prepare Toppings (Optional): If you want to add toppings like crushed nuts or coconut, place them on small plates.
  • Line a Sheet Pan: Cover a sheet pan with parchment or waxed paper to place the dipped strawberries on.
  • Melt the Chocolate:

    • Double Boiler Method: Place a heat-safe bowl over a saucepan with simmering water. Add the chocolate to the bowl and stir constantly until melted and smooth.

    • Microwave Method: Microwave the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until melted. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.

  • Dip the Strawberries: Hold a strawberry by the stem, dip it into the melted chocolate, and gently lift and twist to let the excess chocolate drip off.
  • Add Toppings (Optional): While the chocolate is still wet, dip the strawberry into your desired toppings or leave it plain.
  • Place on Sheet Pan: Lay the dipped strawberries on the parchment-lined sheet pan.
  • Drizzle with White Chocolate (Optional): If desired, use a fork to drizzle melted white chocolate over the strawberries.
